Outer Ganj wala Darwaza: Lahori Gate  In pre-partition days, it was a much busier entrance to the town. Just outside of the gate was the tonga-stand under a huge banyan tree where tongas carried passengers to and from the railway station. |
Inner Ganj wala Darwaza  Unlike the Chak-wala, Lalu-wala, and outer Ganj-wala Darwazas that have been rebuilt, the INNER Ganj wala Darwaza stands in its original and majestic form. |
Ganj Mandi Compound  Pre-partition Era: Several shops to the left of inner Darwaza (where cars and a truck are parked) belonged to Lala Daya Ram Kapur & Sons who were the main auctioneers and buyers of the wheat that was harvested around Bhera and brought to the Mandi. |
Ruins of Old Police Station  The old Thana (Police Station) was part of the government buildings complex in the main bazaar: Municipal Committee, Sub-Tehsil Court, and Civil Hospital. The new Police station is now located on Shahpur Road. |
