NORTHEASTERN MOHALLAS OF BHERA: Pictures by ZAHID MUMTAZ (mumtaz.zahid@yahoo.com) The north-eastern sector of Bhera includes several mohallahs, prominent among them are (A) Mohallah Chitti Pulli, (B) Gosaian da Mohallah, (C) ChibberaN da Mohallah, (D) Mohallah Jethu di Khooi,(E) Mohallah Sheish Mahal, (F) GandhiaN da Mohallah, and (G) DhoanaN da Garha, (H) Nangian wali Galli. The following sets of pictures (from A through H) provide some rare glimpses of the glory and creeping decay of these five neighborhoods. Architecturally, Chitti Pulli Mohallah and Mohallah Sheesh Mahal have some of the most magnificient houses in this group of Bhera's neighborhoods. |
